Job Description
Job Title: DB2 Data Admin
Interview: Virtual
Job Location: Hybrid
Job Duration: 6 Months
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled DB2 Database Administrator with 3 5 years of hands-on experience in DB2 schema design performance monitoring and SQL tuning. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining DB2 databases resolving incidents and supporting application performance through effective database management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement DB2 database schemas
- Develop and maintain database utility jobs
- Monitor and analyze database performance metrics
- Optimize SQL queries and assist development teams with performance tuning
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with GitLab/GitHub and application delivery pipelines
- Understanding of data management principles
- Exposure to z/OS mainframes CICS/MQ and enterprise storage systems (EMC/Dell IBM)
