Senior Test Engineer & Supervisor VLS Program (Direct Hire)
Location: Tustin CA
Salary: $110000.00 - $125000.00 per year

Our client is seeking a Senior Test Engineer & Supervisor to play a critical leadership role in the Vertical Launching System (VLS) Program.
This position will lead test efforts for wire harness and Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) systems including the operation and management of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and vibration testing. Youll be instrumental in ensuring compliance product integrity and timely across testing activities.
Lead and oversee testing processes for wire harnesses and LRUs to meet rigorous aerospace and military standards
Operate and manage Automated Test Equipment (ATE) to verify performance and functionality
Plan and execute vibration testing to assess component durability and reliability
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in wire harness and LRU systems during testing
Ensure compliance with IPC 610/620 J-STD 001 and other industry standards
Maintain accurate detailed test records and initiate corrective actions as needed
Collaborate with production engineering and quality teams to align testing with schedules
Monitor testing progress and address deviations to ensure on-time product delivery
Improve testing workflow efficiency and accuracy through continuous process optimization
Develop and maintain comprehensive testing procedures and documentation
Promote testing best practices and process improvements within the team
Supervise and mentor a team of test engineers and technicians
Provide training and technical guidance to ensure high team performance
Foster cross-functional collaboration to optimize system performance
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering or a related field
5 years of hands-on experience in wire harness and LRU testing
Experience with ATE and vibration testing required
Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical and mechanical systems
In-depth knowledge of IPC 610/620 J-STD 001 and related protocols
Familiarity with production scheduling and prioritization in fast-paced environments
Effective communicator and collaborator across technical and production teams
Leadership experience with strong mentoring and supervisory abilities
Preferred: Experience in aerospace or defense testing
Preferred: Certification in Lean Six Sigma or equivalent
Preferred: Proficiency in testing software and data acquisition systems
Preferred: Hands-on experience with advanced diagnostic tools
Must be a U.S. Citizen due to ITAR regulations
