Job Description
Job Title: MuleSoft ESB Developer
Location: Onsite Jersey City New Jersey
Type: Long-Term Contract (Open to All Visa Types)
Experience Required: Minimum 8 Years
Client Industry: Banking / Financial Services

Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned MuleSoft ESB Developer with strong experience in developing and maintaining enterprise integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. The ideal candidate will have 8 years of experience including at least 4 years in MuleSoft and a solid background working in the banking or financial services domain. This is a long-term onsite role in New Jersey offering a dynamic environment and an opportunity to contribute to high-impact integration projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Design develop and implement MuleSoft APIs and integrations across banking systems and third-party applications.
Utilize MuleSoft Anypoint Studio API Manager and Runtime Manager to build scalable and secure solutions.
Develop RESTful and SOAP APIs data transformations and system orchestration using DataWeave.
Collaborate with solution architects business analysts and backend teams to define and implement integration flows.
Ensure best practices are followed in the design and implementation of APIs including security governance and reusability.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across environments (development QA production).
Participate in code reviews technical discussions and documentation processes.
Support CI/CD pipeline integration and assist in performance tuning of integration flows.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 8 years of IT experience in enterprise application development with 4 years of hands-on MuleSoft development.
Proven experience in banking or financial services domains.
Deep expertise in MuleSoft ESB API-led connectivity and microservices architecture.
Proficient in DataWeave RAML OAuth2 and API gateway policies.
Strong knowledge of integration design patterns message queuing (e.g. JMS) and event-driven architecture.
Experience with MuleSoft CloudHub On-Premise Runtime or Hybrid Deployments.
Solid understanding of security error handling and logging for APIs and services.
Familiar with Git Jenkins and other DevOps tools for automated deployments.
Preferred Qualifications:
MuleSoft Certified Developer (Level 1 or Level 2
Experience with banking systems payment gateways or compliance-related integrations
Exposure to containerization (Docker Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP)
