Job Description
Qualifications: Bachelors degree or equivalent in Statistics Mathematics Engineering Management Computer Science or related quantitative field of study and 5 years of progressive experience in Data Science Business Analytics or any combination thereof with a focus in statistics and forecasting. Employer will accept a Masters degree or equivalent in Statistics Mathematics Engineering Management Computer Science or related quantitative field of study and 2 years of experience in Data Science Business Analytics or any combination thereof with a focus in statistics and forecasting in lieu of a Bachelors degree or equivalent and 5 years of progressive experience.
Applicants must have demonstrated experience with the following:
- working with time series data and various forecasting algorithms including regression models and time series methods such as Prophet ARIMA Xgboost and others. Ability to analyze and differentiate between these algorithms based on their methodologies and applications.
- SQL Python and developing algorithms to solve business problems through statistical analysis on Big Data.
- predictive modeling and machine learning techniques (including classification predictive and artificial neural networks) and their real-world application.
- statistical techniques and concepts (including regression probability properties of distributions and statistical tests) and experience applying and tracking those models to real business instances.
- preparing written communications and presentations to senior management with varying technical knowledge.
*Hybrid position requiring weekly onsite work Monday through Thursday in Ann Arbor office*
