Job Description
Behavioral Health Technician atGarcia House
- Salary Range:$24.04 - $28.85/hour based on relevant years of experience
- Location:Fort Collins Colorado at the Garcia House
- Status:Full time 40 hours per week
- Hours:
- Overnight Thursday-Saturday 6 pm to 6 am; Sunday 4 pm to 8 pm (some flexibility available for the four-hour shift)
- Swing Wednesday-Saturday 12 pm to 10 pm
Employees working at locations operating 24/7 earn a differential. Shift differentials are also available for evenings nights weekends and holidays.
Role Overview:
Responsible for providing support and direct care for clients in our residential program. The role will work with and advocate for diverse and often marginalized populations daily to provide interventions support and resources and to ensure that the appropriate services are offered in an inclusive and equitable manner.
Essential Duties:
- Provide effectivemilieu managementto support a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Conductbrief counseling interventionsto address immediate client needs.
- Facilitatepsychoeducation and activity groupsas part of the therapeutic programming.
- Participate intreatment planning contributing clinical insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate extensively with aninterdisciplinary team including Registered Nurses Psychiatrists Nurse Practitioners Mental Health Therapists and Psychologists.
Required:
- Bachelors degree in health/human services required
- At least one year of experience working in behavioral health setting or programs required
Highly Desired:
- Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) in Colorado preferred
- Trauma Informed Care experience preferred
- Bilingual/bi-cultural preferred
Residential (Garcia House)- a specialty co-occurring residential Circle Program providing comprehensive ASAM 3.7 and 3.5 residential treatment to individuals with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders.
