Job Description

  • Lead the engineering team achieving high levels of engagement promoting a resilient diverse high performing team.
  • To identify resources required to fulfil projects assign individual responsibilities and monitor progress.
  • To act as an internal liaison with all relevant departments and personnel throughout the duration of all projects to ensure that business requirements are met.
  • Provide technical leadership and robust decision making on complex and varied engineering risks and solutions.
  • To manage the day-to-day operational aspects of all projects.
  • Implement and promote lean processes to streamline operations and eliminate waste.
  • To develop project plans and track project deliverables using appropriate tools.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing environment.
  • Monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders on a timely basis including identified problems and solutions.
  • Act as gatekeeper to ensure the appropriate levels of quality are maintained.
  • Identify and champion continuous improvement initiatives throughout the business coaching others to contribute to ongoing improvements both formally and through identified projects.
  • Liaise with relevant personnel to efficiently manage the introduction of  new products utilising the companys Advanced Product Quality Planning process.

Qualifications :

  • Degree qualified in Engineering or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role for engineering in an international business
  • Wide ranging depth and breadth of technical experience in own specialism with knowledge and application of engineering approaches
  • Experience in Hydraulics is preferred
  • Previous experience in change management
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels and across different cultures
  • Adept at critical thinking and problem solving
  • Able to prioritise effectively and successfully manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Ability to proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Effective influencing skills with the ability to lead and motivate others
