As a Warranty Coordinator you will serve as a key representative of Bird during the post-construction and warranty phases of major building projects. Your role is to ensure that our clients continue to receive best-in-class support once construction is completethrough proactive issue resolution professional communication and thorough project oversight.Serve as the clients primary contact post-construction maintaining confidence and continuity during the warranty phase.
Conduct advance site familiarization walkthroughs prior to turnover and lead one-year warranty reviews with clients where applicable.
Interpret and act on technical audit reports and field assessments; allocate responsibility for corrective work appropriately.
Coordinate trades and internal service staff to complete deficiency and warranty repairs to quality standards.
Supervise and guide a teams of service technicians and general laborers as required.
Track and oversee post-construction work orders billings accounts receivable/payable and project costs.
Maintain close coordination withaccounting consultants subcontractors and site personnel.
Conduct quality inspections verify completion of work and approve/facilitate closure of outstanding items.
Manage and document activity in company systems; maintain organized records of all communications and work performed.
Share lessons learned and recurring issues with National Quality Operational Excellence and other district teams to support continuous improvement.
Ensure all work and interactions uphold Birds standards of safety professionalism and contractual responsibility.
Travel frequently to job sites across the district.
Liase with consultants and regional inspectorsand authorities as required.
Minimumof 10years experience in commercial construction ideally in roles such as Project Manager Superintendent or Senior Trade Service Foreman.
Demonstrated understanding of all major scopes: structural architectural mechanical electrical building envelope.
Familiarity with the Ontario Building Code Tarion Warranty Program and Bulletin 19 processes.
Experience with project management platforms such as Procore Viewpoint or Microsoft Project.
Proficiency with the use of digital tools and platforms for communication tracking andreporting.
Trade background (carpentry mechanical drywall etc.) is a considered an asset.
Confident reading and interpreting drawings specifications and technical reports.
Proven ability to work independently manage competing priorities and act decisively under pressure.
Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.
Motivated self-directed and accountable. Must be able to represent Bird with professionalism and protect company interests in all interactions.
A valid drivers license and reliable transportation are required (may be provided).
