Description of Duties: Provide instruction for the full-range of the speech curriculum that includes public speaking interpersonal communication group discussion argumentation and intercultural communication Support and be capable of coaching a competitive College Forensic Program Prepare complete course syllabi and outlines and work on articulation agreements with local colleges and schools Develop and maintain a relevant community college curriculum leading to certificate and degree completion in Speech Communication Adapt instructional techniques to accommodate varied learning styles and abilities to support student success Teach day evening and/or weekend teaching assignments which may include distance learning (interactive television online) and accelerated courses Participate in division college and/or district-wide committees Be committed to and participate in the shared-governance process
Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Masters in speech speech broadcasting telecommunications rhetoric communication communication studies speech communication or organizational communication OR Bachelors in any of the above AND Masters in drama/theater arts mass communication or English OR The equivalent EQUIVALENCY REQUIREMENT : All applicants are required to meet the minimum qualifications specified by the Yuba Community College District ( YCCD ) by the application filing date. Alternatively applicants must have obtained an equivalency determination from the District before the publication of the Recruitment Announcement.
