Job Description
Pinterest is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior GL Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting team. As a Senior GL Accountant you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records ensuring compliance with accounting standards and providing strategic insights for our companys continued growth and success.
What youll do:
- Oversee assigned general ledger accounting activities including journal entries reconciliations and month-end close processes
- Serve as the primary accountant responsible for the accurate application of ASC 350 for capitalized software
- Perform in-depth analysis of financial data identifying trends discrepancies and opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support accrual processes and business insights
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies procedures and relevant regulatory requirements
- Execute compliance with internal SOX controls to mitigate financial risks
- Support external audits by providing accurate and timely information
- Stay up to date with accounting standards and best practices and provide guidance to the finance team
- Conduct regular review of accounting processes to identify areas for efficiencies
- Perform special projects as needed to support our rapid growth
What were looking for:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting a related field or equivalent experience
- 4 years of accounting experience preferably in a technology or high-growth company operating in a SOX environment
- Big 4 accounting firm (or similar) experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Vlookups pivot tables etc)
- Strong organizational critical thinking and communication skills
- Strong sense of ownership and curiosity to learn new skills
- Results-driven individual with a team-oriented mindset
- CPA/CA or CPA/CA path
- Accounting ERP experience (preferably Oracle)

- This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1 time/year and therefore can be situated anywhere in the country.
