Join Clovers Retail team as a Senior Backend Engineer and help shape the online shopping experience for thousands of merchants. Youll play a key role in building scalable high-performance Java services that power retail commerce from behind-the-scenes infrastructure to customer-facing innovation. If youre passionate about clean architecture and making an impact at scale this is your opportunity to lead meaningful change in a collaborative fast-moving team.
What you will do:
- Lead the design development and delivery of backend software that drives Clovers retail online shopping experience.
- Collaborate with product managers designers and other engineers to turn business needs into clean scalable solutions.
- Write test and debug high-quality Java code and work across SQL and NoSQL databases to ensure performance and reliability.
- Build and maintain cloud-native applications using AWS Azure or GCP services.
- Drive improvements in our CI/CD pipeline and champion DevOps best practices across the team.
- Refactor and enhance existing codebases while guiding design and code reviews.
- Mentor junior developers and help the team level up through technical coaching and collaboration.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelors Degree (preferably Computer Science or Engineering) or equivalent combination of experience education and military.
- 4-6 years of experience in software development.
- 5 years of experience in Java Spring Boot and microservices.
- 4 years of experience in SQL databases and NoSQL.
- 2 years of experience in AWS Azure or GCP services.
- 2 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- 2 years of experience with Agile methodologies.

- Experience in the financial services industry.

Salary Range
$108900.00 - $186800.00These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
