Job Description
- Conduct residential and commercial forensic investigations to analyze/determine structural damage for insurance companies attorneys private homeowners and property owners
- Investigate and assess damage due to catastrophes
- Prove evaluations are correct by researching technical publications and literature
- Apply engineering principles and practices in accordance with codes and industry standards
- Provide client with detailed forensic engineering reports outlining cause and origin of damage
- Manage multiple projects and meet project deadlines
- Provide clients and team with timelines and project updates
Experience:
- Bachelor s Degree in Architecture or Engineering or closely related discipline required
- Master s Degree preferred
- 6 years of experience in architectural or engineering
- 1 year of forensic engineering experience required
- E.I.T. required
- PE License or RA License preferred
- Experience working with law firms and insurance companies preferred
- Experience with depositions and expert testimony preferred
- Prefer management and supervisory experience
- Experience with premises and walking surface investigations
- Experience with product defect cases preferred
- Candidates with experience in accident reconstruction and automotive failure analysis considered
Salary is commensurate with experience.
