Our property team members help our buildings thrive by focusing on execution and ensuring a great experience for both residents and guests. Our non-property team members support property execution and the evolution of other areas within our can enjoy remote-first work with the freedom to choose their location as long as they have access to a workspace and reliable Wi-Fi. We believe collaboration is key so our remote-first teams and property leaders have biannual in-person get-togethers at various locations across the US.

From corporate non-property team members to our property teams and leaders were looking for collaborative driven individuals to join us as we continue to expand our presence.

The Impact Youll Have
At Placemakr we are obsessed with service and believe in providing exceptional experiences to our valued guests residents and partners. As an Event Coordinator you will be the driving force behind executing events for the special event venue space at our Atlanta GA. Youll create seamless experiences manage event logistics and play a key role in building relationships that inspire repeat business and positive word-of-mouth. Reporting to the Director of Sales the ideal candidate for the Event Coordinator position requires organization skills an eye for detail and the ability to multi-task prioritize and delegate duties are imperative. Excellent communication skills are required to create productive relationships with vendors and sponsors which is key to a successful career.
This position is located on-site at our Atlanta GA property.

The Event Coordinator will be required to work evenings nights and weekends based on the needs of the business and our guests.

This position is located on-site at our Atlanta GA location. The pay rate for this position is $29/hr.

What Youll Do

    • Oversee all aspects of day-of events including venue setup logistics and day-of coordination to ensure flawless execution.
    • Serve as the first point of contact for vendors and contractors providing direction and support as needed.
    • Support the Director of Sales with conducting property tours and educating potential clients on our event spaces and potential.
    • Support with client communication - responding to inquiries resolving issues and providing exceptional service throughout the planning and event execution process.
    • Build and maintain relationships with vendors and secure permits as needed for food beverage dcor entertainment and other services.
    • Partner with property leadership and non-property teams to ensure alignment on event goals and deliverables to ensure successful event execution.
    • Monitor event areas during the event and ensure safety of all guests.
    • Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the event.
    • Oversee the breakdown of events and ensure that all items are removed and all event materials are stored properly following the event.
    • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What It Takes

    • 2-3 years of experience in event management hospitality or related fields (experience with wedding events management is a plus)
    • CMP CSEP CPCE or similar certifications a plus!
    • Proficiency in project management events or CRM software and tools is preferred
    • Detail-orientation and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences to internal team members clients and vendors alike
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deliver a message clearly and professionally across varying levels of team members and external partners
    • Ability to manage cross-functional relationships competing priorities and time and resources proactively in a fast-paced ever-changing environment
    • Exceptional organizational and project management skills
    • Proven ability to meet deadlines
    • A creative problem-solver who is adaptable proactive and thrives in both independent and team settings

    • Event Coordinators will be on their feet and moving around (stand sit or walk for an extended time) and taking a hands-on approach to work (move lift carry push pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance). Doing all these things well (and other reasonable job duties as requested) is critical for our Event Managers and an exceptional guest experience.
