The Senior Director Voluntary Benefits Practice Leader plays a pivotal role in shaping WTWs voluntary benefits product line driving growth providing strategic leadership in-depth analysis and consultative insight. Acting as both an internal and external advocate this leader will collaborate with internal client service teams vendors and clients to deliver best-in-class offerings. As a key member of the Group Benefits leadership team the VB Leader drives consistency results and innovation across North America helping clients of all sizes optimize their benefits strategies while generating new business opportunities through strategic prospecting and relationship-building.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute a compelling voluntary benefits strategy that aligns with market trends and client needs.
- Business Growth: Expand WTWs presence in the voluntary benefits consulting sector collaborating with client service teams to develop innovative solutions across the large mid-market and small market.
- Program Development: Create sophisticated benefits designs and renewal strategies leveraging data-driven insights and emerging industry trends.
- Team Leadership: Inspire and mentor high-performing teams and managers fostering a culture of excellence collaboration and growth.
- Thought Leadership: Enhance WTWs brand by speaking at conferences authoring industry articles and participating in key business forums.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product and Client Service teams to develop and promote competitive voluntary benefits solutions.
- Industry Engagement: Build strong relationships with carrier/vendor partners and senior executives to enhance WTWs market influence.
- Market Insight: Stay ahead of industry shifts economic trends and regulatory changes to ensure clients receive forward-thinking advice and solutions.
QualificationsQualifications & Experience
- 15 years of proven success in voluntary benefits strategy consulting or brokerage leadership.
- Strong ability to manage and grow client relationships leading large books of business with strategic insights.
- Demonstrated expertise in motivating and leading high-performing teams with direct management experience.
- Exceptional communication skills including executive presence and the ability to influence at all levels.
- Commitment to continuous learning and thought leadership.
- Proven ability to develop innovative voluntary benefits solutions and drive market adoption.
- Strong industry presence with active participation in conferences leadership roles in key organizations and a track record of promoting brand visibility.
- Life and Health license required within 90 days of joining.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors including but not limited to location of the role individual competencies education/professional certifications qualifications/experience performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).
Compensation
The base salary compensation being offered for this role is $200000-$300000 USDper year.
This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
