**The Lead Employment Support Professional must be a Qualified Professional with at least 6 months of vocational experience.
A Qualified Professional (10A NCAC 27G .0104) must have one of the following:
Bachelor degree (non Human Services) with 4 years Full time OR 8 years Part time applicable experience required
Bachelor degree (Human Services) with 2 years Full time OR 4 years Part time applicable experience required
Master degree (Human Services) with 1 year Full time OR 2 years Part time applicable experience required
Provide systems that assist people being supported in identifying their own areas of strengths and needs to achieve their personal dreams and goals that will enhance their quality of life as related to best practice and state and agency policies/procedures.
Oversee the operations of the program to include hiring training and evaluation of Employment Support Professionals and Employment Peer Mentors; develop expectations for staff regarding community time employer contacts and employment rate.
Provide oversight of program and collaborate with behavioral health supports.
Supervise Employment Support Professionals to ensure delivery of evidence-based ethical practices; supervision includes some office-based sessions as well as field mentoring. Provide frequent field mentoring for new ESPs or ESPs with outcomes that are less than desired.
Collect and report outcomes on persons supported on a monthly basis.
Act as a liaison to other departments within the agency communicating regularly with behavioral health supervisors to ensure that services are integrated problem-solve program issues and to act as a champion for employment.
Manage continuing education for Employment Support Professionals.
Collaborate with local Vocational Rehabilitation office to discuss referrals.
Provide IPS Supported Employment services to a small caseload.
Respond effectively to concerns of people supported and their families in a positive and helpful manner. Ensure the need for consultant services is coordinated with appropriate personnel.
Provide initial and ongoing assessment evaluate effectiveness of Employment Plan and progress made by person receiving services participate in team meetings/case reviews with other providers and natural supports as needed and give input into Employment Plan.
Identify opportunities for community connections and development/enhancement of natural support networks for people served. Work with service staff to educate people served on these options and access opportunities.
Use a range of communication skills and strategies to establish a mutual relationship with the individual staff co-workers supervisors other stakeholders and people who are important to the individuals receiving services.
Ensure requests for services are made continued stay and discharge criteria for the service definition. Understand criteria target population matrices service definitions authorization request billing etc. Services and supports that match the person centered plan and the individuals needs shall be in place and be fiscally viable.
Prepare and submit required or requested reports documents assessments evaluations and paperwork.
Work with supervisor on the continual assessment and enhancement of services provided throughout the agency.
Attend and actively participate in meetings and training as required. Maintain certification in all agency state and federal training requirements.
Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all agency policies and procedures as well as state and federal statutes and regulations related to specific program areas
Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and assists in crisis situations.
Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all agency policies and procedures.
Follow service definition guidelines for services being provided.
Complete all other relevant responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Travel and driving may be required.
