The Governance Risk and Compliance Director is responsible for implementing and overseeing an integrated Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) process which involves socializing GRC across the Agency to promote awareness and effective management of business technology and information risks issues and opportunities. The Director will partner with business and technology owners to promote efficient and sound business processes and practices risk-informed decision-making effective risk mitigation accountability and compliance with laws mandates and policies. The position is also responsible for maintaining DTIs Disaster Recovery Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) and Compliance with state and federal regulations. This senior management position will carry out executive management responsibilities such as: determining policy establishing priorities developing and implementing long range plans and evaluating and modifying ongoing programs and operations.
This position will operate under broad mission guidance from the State Chief Security Officer (CSO); and define the ultimate goals overall policy and fundamental mission for the program. The position must exercise a high degree of independent judgement and act as a leader within the organization. The manager will liaise with auditors both internal and external to maintain and implement controls for compliance and privacy laws.
This position will report to the Chief Security Officer.
