Job Description

Position Title:

Adjunct Vocal Performance

Time Type:

Part time

Position Summary and Qualifications:

The Department of Music Theatre & Film at Saint Josephs University invites applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor Music Theatre and Film in Vocal Performance to teach private voice lessons in the Fall 2025 semester.

This is a part-time faculty position of up to 6 hours weekly.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide private voice lessons to Music majors Musical Theatre majors and Music minors

  • Participate in vocal juries

  • Organize and attend end-of-semester studio student voice recital.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required:

  • Masters Degree in Music

  • Evidence of successful teaching experience in studio voice at the college level

  • Demonstrated experience as a performer

Preferred:

  • D.M.A. in voice

  • Experience teaching voice in a liberal arts college setting
