Roles and Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain install construct diagnose and repair a variety of machine tools and equipment including complicated electronic/electrical systems and data handling equipment.
- Tear down and reassemble damaged or defective units.
- May repair worn or damaged parts and reassemble and perform some machining on replacement parts.
- Plans and layout work as necessary.
- Working with a minimum of supervision is able to perform difficult work in maintaining plant properties such as buildings machinery and equipment etc. where moderate skill in more than one trade is required.
- Work with contractors in the planning and installation of new wiring the installation and/or rearrangement of machinery or equipment.
- Work with contractors vendors landlord and machine tool builders for repair/maintenance work on machines facility equipment and physical plant.
- Perform purchasing with procurement card and justify monthly statement.
- May supervise and/or train one or more subordinates.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
- Machining experience
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Background in electrical repair
- Must have acquired sufficient training and experience in one or more of the maintenance trades to perform the class of work ordinarily required of a journeyman in these trades
- Must be able to operate (safely) basic machine tools; i.e. drill press mill surface grinder
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
