Join GHD as a Senior Civil Technician
Location: Any UK Office within the GHD EMEA Region
Reports to: Team Leader (BIM)
Job Type: Full-time Hybrid Working Available
Are you a skilled Civil Technician with a passion for precision collaboration and innovation GHD is seeking a Senior Civil Technician to join our dynamic team in the UK. In this role youll play a key part in delivering high-quality engineering design documentation across a wide range of infrastructure projects.
Youll work closely with engineers designers and project stakeholders to ensure that every project is delivered to the highest standards on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver accurate and high-quality engineering design documentation in line with GHD and industry standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop the best solutions for clients.
- Manage your workload to meet project deadlines and budget requirements.
- Apply a strong understanding of HSEQ principles including CDM regulations.
- Support and mentor junior team members contributing to their professional development.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D including:
- Surface modelling
- Pipe networks
- Corridor modelling
- Cut and fill
- Profiles and grading
- Familiarity with other Autodesk Design Suite tools; knowledge of Revit is a plus.
- Experience working within Common Data Environments (CDEs) and BIM systems.
- Strong understanding of relevant client and industry standards.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong working relationships across teams.
- Achieved or working towards EngTech accreditation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive approach to quality innovation and continuous improvement.
- Experience mentoring or coaching junior team members.
