The Opportunity:
The School of Electrical Engineering and Architecture (EECS) in the Voiland College of Engineering and Architecture (VCEA) is seeking a motivated and tech-savvyResearch Technology Coordinatorto support multidisciplinary research studies involving wearable and environmental sensing technologies. In this role you will have direct interaction with both researchers and study participants to ensure smooth deployment operation and support of data collection tools such as smartwatches and smart home sensors. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with technical aptitude and an interest in supporting research in psychology computer science and health-related fields.
Additional Information:
This is a part-time (50% FTE) temporary project appointment expected to end on June 30 2026. Renewal is dependent on program needs and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment.
Monthly Salary: $1738.50 to $2316 (prorated at 50% FTE) Range 40 Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience education skills and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty (wearable and environmental sensing technologies) OR equivalent education/experience.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Experience with wearable devices sensors or other data collection technologies is preferred.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Prior experience in a multidisciplinary research or academic setting.
