Job Summary
McLean Hospital is a comprehensive psychiatric hospital committed to providing easy access to superior quality cost-effective mental health services in the Boston area Massachusetts and beyond. Since 1811 McLean Hospital has been a world leader in the treatment of mental illness and chemical dependency research into the cause of mental illness and the training of generations of mental health care providers. McLeans multidisciplinary programs treat a broad range of psychiatric illnesses across the full continuum of care. The Child and Adolescent Testing Service (CATS) at McLean Hospital is currently seeking a staff neuropsychologist specializing in assessments of children teens and young adults who are experiencing neuropsychological and psychological difficulties impacting their academic social and/or behavioral functioning. CATS provides comprehensive assessments targeting a range of challenges including ADHD Dyslexia Post-Concussive Disorders Nonverbal Learning Disability high functioning ASD depression anxiety mood disorders and psychosis. By meeting HMS teaching responsibilities the candidate will be proposed for a concurrent academic appointment as an instructor in Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. The successful candidate should have a doctoral degree from an APA-accredited program in clinical or counseling psychology a 2-year post-doctoral position in clinical neuropsychology and an HSP license from the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Psychologists. knowledge of special education and experience working with students with emotional challenges is required. Strong organizational communication interpersonal and report writing skills are essential. Training and experience with projective assessment preferred. General Summary Job duties will include administration of neuropsychological academic and psychological assessments supervision in the post-doctoral training program administrative duties and attendance and presentation at clinic case conferences. Position is 24 hours per week.
