McMan Youth Family and Community Services is looking for a Program Supervisor for the Wicihitowin Program. Operating from a housing first harm reduction approach through an Indigenous worldview perspective is essential in this role. The successful candidate will be a leader who can meet the challenge of leading a dynamic staff team with Indigenous knowledge systems at the center building vital relationships within the Indigenous youth sector and able to support and integrate a natural supports-building connections practice framework within the program.
The Program Supervisor is also responsible for organizing and coordinating all general aspects of the program (hiring training community partnerships financial management monthly quarterly annual reporting). The Program Supervisor will lead and support planning and scheduling of Indigenous cultural events programming and ceremony with Elders and Knowledge Keepers while ensuring all program goals and objectives are maintained and developed. This role is ideally suited to applicants with lived Indigenous experience.
As a fundamental practice across all McMan services we work with individuals to help them maintain and grow relationships that can extend beyond our professional support - lifelong connections that can help people sustain and build on their strengths and new skills.
The successful candidate will have:
Comprehensive knowledge of Indigenous peoples unique histories languages cultural practices spiritual beliefs and knowledge systems
A degree or diploma in a Human Services field. Equivalent experience will be considered
Knowledge of the Natural Supports Framework and Trauma Informed Practice Framework
A good knowledge of community resources agencies and the homeless sector is an asset
Direct experience working with Indigenous youth families and communities is essential
Previous program delivery experience in a similar program environment
The ability to hire train evaluate motivate mentor coach and develop a successful staff team utilizing reflective supervision methods
Strong interpersonal skills counseling skills program planning and administrative abilities are required
Supervisory experience managing a dynamic team considered an asset
All applicants must have a current Police and Child Welfare check (within six months)
A valid Drivers license and adequate insurance coverage.
*This role will require on call support on a rotating basis and some evening and weekend work hours.

Salary Range:$67159.00 - $74621.00
