We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Program Manager to oversee and manage the Managing General Underwriter (MGU) relationship for our Film and Television Studio insurance portfolio. This role is responsible for performance of the program and is critical to maintaining a strong partnership with the MGU delivering operational excellence adherence to underwriting guidelines and alignment with the overall business strategy. The Program Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for the MGU and internal stakeholders driving collaboration profitability and growth across the studio business portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary relationship manager between our organization and the MGU for North America (US & Canada).
program Manage program performance including premium production loss ratios underwriting quality and operational efficiency. Regularly report on program performance to senior leadership.
Monitor and oversee the MGUs underwriting policy issuance claims handling compliance and reporting activities to ensure consistency with program guidelines and standards.
Collaborate closely with underwriting actuarial claims legal and finance teams to ensure the MGUs alignment with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
Efficiently handle home office referrals.
Develop and implement best practices service standards and operational workflows for the MGU.
Facilitate regular program reviews audits and stewardship meetings with the MGU.
Identify opportunities for program improvement growth and innovation; propose and execute initiatives to enhance the overall profitability and sustainability of the program.
Support the negotiation and renewal of MGU agreements in coordination with legal and executive teams.
Manage any issues or escalations in a timely and solution-oriented manner
Stay informed on industry trends regulatory developments and market conditions impacting the film and television insurance space.
Candidate Requirements:
Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree in Business Risk Management Insurance or a related field preferred (Masters degree a plus).
7 years of experience in entertainment insurance program management underwriting management or MGU oversight preferably with a focus on film television and studio-related risks.
Experience working directly with MGUs program administrators or delegated authority structures strongly preferred.
Skills & Attributes:
Deep understanding of entertainment insurance underwriting practices especially within the film and television sector.
Strong relationship management skills with the ability to influence negotiate and collaborate across all levels of an organization.
Excellent analytical skills and financial acumen with ability to interpret underwriting data and program performance metrics.
Highly organized with strong project management skills; able to prioritize and handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
Solutions-oriented mindset demonstrating proactive problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements for program management and delegated authority arrangements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel PowerPoint Word) and insurance management systems.

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.
$145700 - $196700/year
Total individual compensation (base salary short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location scope & responsibilities of the role qualifications talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
