Job Description: The Director of Auxiliary Services and Insurance manages contractual relationships with external service providers oversees operational aspects of various campus services and ensures operational excellence and contract compliance. This role involves managing budgets financial operations and staff as well as strategic planning and project management for services like food service campus store vending mail and print laundry and insurance.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Contract Management:
- Oversees and manages contracts with external vendors for food services campus store vending mail and print laundry insurance and other auxiliary services.
Operational Oversight:
- Provides oversight and accountability for the strategic and departmental operations of all auxiliary services including planning coordination administration and evaluation of programs projects and service offerings. Ensures high quality and tasty food fresh and relevant vending machine offerings with reliable service accurate and timely mail processing and printing well-functioning washers and dryers and appropriate insurance coverages with excellent claims management.
Financial Management:
- Develops and administers department operating and capital budgets approves expenditures reviews financial results manages financial operations and allocates resources.
Strategic Planning:
- Develops and implements strategic plans and project management for auxiliary services to meet university needs and objectives including capital investments.
Staff Management:
- Supervise and coordinate the work of staff and management within auxiliary services programs and operations. Develop and mentor vendors management teams assigned to the University to ensure excellent service in alignment with Arcadias Lived Values.
Risk Management:
- Oversees and manages insurance renewals claims handling and tracks and communicates risk trends in higher education to support strategic decision making. Serves as a resource for training needs best practices and risk mitigation.
Customer Service:
- Serves as a liaison between the university and external service providers ensuring compliance with contracts and addressing student/community member inquiries and concerns.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Generates reports on auxiliary revenue and provides financial analysis for forecasting and decision-making.
Qualifications:
Required Education:
- Bachelors degree in Business or a related field.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of related job experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Participation in NACAS - National Association of College Auxiliary Services is preferred.
