Job Description

Overview

CHI Health now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and Dignity Health includes 150 clinics delivering quality care to patients across Nebraska and southeast Iowa. Our full-service network provides a variety of Primary Care & Priority Care Services including Family Internal Geriatric and Pediatric Medicine in addition to several specialties to deliver custom care based on the unique needs of our patients.

This position will support our healthcare teams by ensuring they have everything they need in order to care for our patients. They also play a huge role in a patients experience and prep when they visit any of our clinics. We couldnt do it without you! Responsibilities

  • Assesses patients and their abilities to participate in ordered procedures. Provides a clear explanation of the procedure including; duration process and what to expect following completion.
  • Provides patient education as appropriate.
  • Obtains patient consent for care and ensures patient confidentiality.
  • Selects proper equipment setting correct technical factors procedure protocols and gathering proper supplies prior to performance of the procedure.
  • Obtains clear and complete history from the patient and or patient record and records that data into patient record to assist in image interpretation and future patient encounters.
  • Performs quality assessment of images obtained and is able to evaluate equipment issues and escalates concerns as indicated.
  • Completes quality tests on equipment as required.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes.
  • Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
  • ARDMS board certification within 6 months of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required upon hire

Preferred:

  • 6-9 months of ultrasound experience
