The Technical Project Manager will join the Networks and Connectivity Engineering (NCE) team within our Connected Aviation Solutions business unit. This team supports the core aviation datalink service which provides air/ground data communications for airlines and business aviation enabling the exchange of information from airborne subsystems to ground-based computers anywhere in the world. This is done by using VHF HF and satellite-based radio links and a private global network.

In this role you will be acting as lead of innovative teams responsible for designing and developing our next generation of industry-leading communication products. The candidate will work with engineering management program management technical engineering leads across multiple disciplines and engineering support groups. This is an engineering leadership position with focus on the full lifecycle of communications systems to provide solutions and support for commercial and government aviation customers. The organizational objective is to successfully design develop integrate and maintain a lab infrastructure network and interfaces to the corporate back-office network. This is an ideal role for anyone who enjoys leading network solutions and migrations and/or is interested in a leadership role in the will play a pivotal role in this high growth and high visibility area of the Collins Aerospace company.

What You Will Do:

  • YOU will lead a multi-disciplined engineering team that works across the breadth of the Connected Aviation core services.
  • YOU will oversee the full life cycle of the project.
  • You will work onsite 4 days a week on our Annapolis MD site.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field with a minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience in operations of High-Availability communication systems.

The salary range for this role is 90000 USD - 182000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
