Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) a member of the Texas A&M University System welcomes applicants for aVisiting Lecturer of Kinesiology to beginFall 2025.
TAMIU is a Hispanic Serving Institution with over 8000 students located in Laredo Texas a vibrant and bicultural city with a population of about 250000. The university advances knowledge through research and discovery teaching and learning community engagement and public service and with an intentional focus on student success and research excellence. For more information please visit is atemporary (1-year) full-time non-tenure track 9-month academic appointment. Primary duties will includeteaching undergraduate courses (15 semester credit hours per semester) in Kinesiology and providing review sessions for students. The selected candidate must have flexibility in scheduling to accommodate evening classes and weekends as necessary. The candidate must be able to deliver content in various formats including in person hybrid and online. Duties also include service to the college university and community. This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace.

The successful candidate must hold ahold a masters degree or higher in Kinesiology/Exercise Science or closely related field that includes 18-semester graduate credits; teach undergraduate courses related to teaching physical education coaching or exercise science (e.g. exercise physiology biomechanics exercise prescription and strength conditioning). We strongly encourage candidates with previous teaching experience at the collegiate level; however other forms of instruction (e.g. K-12 physical education teaching experience athletic coaching personal training etc.) will be considered. Personal trainer and strength training certifications (e.g. CPT ACSM CSCS) are desired.
