Job Description
Unit: GI Lab
Location: Mission Hills CA
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 4x10-hour Day Shifts (07:00 - 17:30)
Call Requirements: Every other weekend one weekday call/week (5:30 PM 11:00 PM)
Pay Rate: $53/hr (W2) $56/hr (1099)
- Experience: 1 year in GI/Endoscopy
- Certifications: BLS LA City Fire Card (Required); SGNA (Preferred)
- Call Coverage: Required every other weekend with 30-minute response time
- Licensure: Active and current license required at submission (no pending)
- Assist in advanced GI procedures:
- EGD Colonoscopy ERCP EUS EBUS Bronchs
- PEG/GJ placements Spyglass Double Balloon Enteroscopy

- Scope and equipment handling including:
- Cleaning disinfection (HLD) and maintenance
- Use of ERBE EHL Fujifilm Ultrasound Medivators

- Procedural Support:
- Biopsies dilation polyp removal foreign body retrieval
- Specimen handling and infection control compliance

- Equipment: Forceps snares bronchoscopes enteroscopes etc.
- Documentation & protocols: Familiarity with Provation Epic (preferred) and Universal Protocol (time-out)
- Facility Type: Acute Care Magnet-Designated Hospital
- Total Beds: 377
- Scrubs: Any color (OR and L&D provided)
- Patient Population: Adults only
- Unit Setting: Inpatient outpatient endoscopy center and bedside cases
- Orientation: 40 hours non-billable
- Parking: Free
