Metal Polisher
Pay: $15/hour
Location: Tulsa OK
Hours: Monday Friday 6:00 AM 4:00 PM (hours may vary)
Job Type: Temp-to-Perm
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Metal Polisher to join a dynamic manufacturing team in Tulsa. This position is responsible for deburring grinding and polishing various metal components using hand and power tools. Ideal candidates will have experience working with metals such as brass bronze aluminum gold and silver and be able to interpret technical drawings to meet specific finish requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deburr grind and polish sheet metal and metal castings.
- Utilize hand and power wheels/belts to finish brass bronze aluminum gold and silver materials.
- Read and interpret job travelers blueprints and drawings to determine finishing specifications.
- Identify and correct surface defects to achieve a smooth and specified finish.
- Properly set up and operate standard manufacturing equipment.
- Report any defects or issues to a supervisor.
- Maintain attention to detail and adherence to quality standards and procedures.
- Complete assigned work within given timelines and according to job specifications.
Position Requirements:
- Familiarity with shop equipment and various power tools.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capable of collaborating with various departments.
- Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Committed to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by following company safety protocols.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs using proper lifting techniques.
- Capable of performing essential physical job functions including: standing walking bending hearing handling objects pushing/pulling and fine finger movements.
- Able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise dust and temperature changes.
