The Assistant Superintendent plays a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of the field office and the project. This position requires a keen eye for detail strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Superintendent to ensure that all on-site construction activities are carried out efficiently and effectively meeting the high standards set by the organization.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist the Superintendent in managing the daily operations of the construction department.
- Ensure all construction activities meet the organizations high standards.
- Oversee and coordinate all trades on the project including subcontractors according to Superintendents direction.
- Maintain and distributes up to date drawings and specifications
- Monitor inventory and coordinate necessary supplies and equipment needed to complete tasks onsite
- Monitor project progress and report on milestones and any issues.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality and safety policies and procedures for the project
- Assist in scheduling and planning construction activities.
- Conduct regular inspections of work in progress to ensure that all workmanship conforms to specifications and adherence to the construction schedule
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and effective communication
- Other duties as assigned

- Flexibility to travel on short notice for business needs to attend meetings training courses and events.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance during business trips.
- Compliance with company travel policies and procedures.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to use a computer phone printer scanner and other office equipment.
- Visual acuity for detailed work and computer use.
- Ability to lift carry and move up to 25 pounds of files documents and materials.
