POSITION TITLE: Energy Efficiency Specialist
EXEMPTION STATUS:Non-exempt
REPORTS TO: Director of Facilities & Maintenance
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 months
Primary Purpose
Coordinate the technical operations of the energy management program. Assist in developing an integrated districtwide energy management program that ensures efficient and effective use of energy resources and meets the comfort health and safety needs of students and staff.
Qualifications
Education/Certification
Bachelors Degree preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills
Ability to learn energy management program development and implementation
Ability to learn heating ventilation and air-conditioning systems (HVAC)
Ability to use energy accounting and building automation software
Ability to analyze and interpret data follow procedures and implement policy
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Knowledge of software to develop spreadsheets and databases
Effective organizational communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
Experience
Minimum two years experience in public education or experience in energy management or related field
