Testing Adjusting and Balancing Whole Building Commissioning
A leading provider of Testing Adjusting and Balancing (TAB) services for mechanical systems and Whole Building Commissioning in the Pacific Northwest is seeking to add a talented TAB Technician to the team in Eugene.
Founded in 1958 the company is known for delivering high-quality work and professional assessments across a wide range of commercial projects. The organization is employee-owned and this role will be eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
Position Summary:
The TAB Technician is responsible for evaluating adjusting and optimizing HVAC systems to ensure they operate at peak performance and meet design specifications. This role involves on-site testing troubleshooting balancing airflow and hydronic systems and preparing detailed reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Test adjust and balance commercial HVAC systems
Inspect systems equipment and assemblies to verify compliance with specifications
Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
Troubleshoot HVAC systems
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
Serve as project leader for multiple projects
Coordinate with division manager to keep projects on budget and on schedule
Mentor apprentices and provide guidance
Communicate effectively with all members of the construction project team
Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
Current or ability to obtain NEBB TAB certification
Minimum 3 years of experience as a TAB Technician
Familiarity with mechanical drawings HVAC systems and HVAC control sequences
Ability to handle physical workload including working at heights on lifts and ladders
Strong problem-solving math and critical thinking skills
Self-motivated independent and career-minded

Valid drivers license with a good driving record
