Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and closely monitor owner/operator and company drivers in a fast paced environment.
- Responsible for oversight of dispatchers.
- Must have knowledge of all National and State DOT laws and regulations.
- Responsible for controlling driver costs.
- Expected to perform at 99.5% on time performance.
- Ensure that work is rotated among all drivers.
- Understand all customer pickup and delivery procedures.
- Thorough understanding of local transportation requirements including tolls tunnels bridges etc.
- Must be able to perform routing planning for store delivery.
- Ensure that Drivers are continuously reminded to drive safe and be aware of their surroundings at all times.
- Ensure that Drivers are continuously reminded of all pickup and delivery procedures.
- Be able to react to emergency or urgent situations as they occur and follow emergency and/or accident company protocol.
- Experience in building/managing a team of dispatchers.
- TMW system knowledge a plus.

Education and/or Experience
2-3 years industry experience.
