Job Description
Title: API Tester
Location: Bangalore
We are looking for a skilled API Tester with hands-on experience in Postman and other API testing tools to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing developing and executing API test cases to ensure quality and performance of backend services and integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
Design develop and maintain API test cases using Postman.
Validate RESTful and SOAP APIs against functional and non-functional requirements.
Write test scripts in JavaScript using Postmans pre-request and test scripts.
Automate API tests and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/etc.).
Analyze API responses verify status codes headers and response data.
Qualifications :
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with Postman for API testing.
Good understanding of RESTful APIs JSON XML and HTTP methods.
Proficiency in JavaScript (for writing Postman test scripts).
Familiarity with Swagger/OpenAPI specifications.
Experience with version control systems like Git.
Understanding of API automation and CI/CD integration.
