Fall 2025 Civil Engineering Co-op Opportunity
Are you a Civil Engineering Co-op student with a passion for heavy civil and marine construction Have you already completed three co-op terms and are looking for your next big challengeone that blends technical complexity with real-world impact
At Vancouver Pile Driving Ltd. (VanPile) we dont just build infrastructurewe shape coastlines connect communities and push the boundaries of marine construction. As a key member of our Engineering team youll be immersed in both office and field environments working alongside industry leaders on projects that matter. Youll contribute to the expansion of new markets and help develop cutting-edge construction techniques that keep us ahead in a competitive industry.
Location: Vancouver BC
Term: 412 months starting September 2025

What Youll Do
Office Responsibilities:
- Support the Estimating Team in securing new projects.
- Assist in developing estimates from conceptual to detailed levels.
- Review tender documents and perform quantity take-offs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and supplier pricing data.
Field Responsibilities:
- Help manage construction programs and ensure compliance with plans and specs.
- Prepare progress reports and risk assessments.
- Assist with procurement logistics and contract management.
- Contribute to design and construction method discussions.
- Ensure work meets all codes drawings and standards.
- Support the Project Manager with field management tasks.
- Champion Health Safety & Environmental standards.
What You Bring
- You are currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering Co-op program (minimum 2nd year completed).
- Minimum three previous co-op terms completed.
- Interest in heavy civil and marine construction.
- Familiarity with estimating cost control and planning techniques.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD MS Project and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).

Salary: $24 - $33 per hour
