BELLINGHAM MASSACHUSETTS

Title: Advisor Mock Trial Advisor (BHS)

FUNCTION: To assume the responsibilities for organizing guiding directing and supervising

the Bellingham High School Mock Trial Team in its activities and be directly

responsible to the building principal.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. The Mock Trial Coach is responsible for organizing the team and coordinating the schedule with the Massachusetts Bar Association.
  2. The season runs from early December through early March.
  3. The coach is also responsible for analysis and interpretation of the Rules of Evidence fact patterns and applicable law.
  4. The coach must meet on a daily and weekly basis with individual students or the entire team.
  5. The coach takes the team into court for the trial competitions.
  6. Adheres to the adopted policies of the Bellingham School Committee.

EXPERIENCE:

  1. Preferably a member of the High School teaching staff.
  2. Experience and knowledge of Massachusetts Law.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Dedication to the service of youth.
  2. Demonstrated ability to relate favorably with students.
