Title: Advisor National Honor Society Advisor (BHS)
FUNCTION: To assume the responsibility for selecting directing and supervising the NationalHonor Society and its activities directly responsible to the building principal.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for making sure that the members of the National Honor Society maintain standards of the National Honor Society.
- Direct the selection process for candidates into the National Honor Society.
- Responsible for the Induction Ceremony.
- Assume responsibilities for all National Honor Society functions community projects etc.
- Maintain necessary paper work.
- Responsible for awareness of standards of National Honor Society.
- Maintain communications with Local and National Honor Societies.
- Attend National Honor Society meetings as needed.
- Assume responsibilities for related duties that may be assigned by the building principal.
- Adheres to the adopted policies of the Bellingham School Committee.
EXPERIENCE:
- Preferably a member of the High School teaching staff.
- Experience in National Honor Society activities.
- Knowledge of National Honor Society and its activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Dedication to the service of youth.
- Demonstrated ability to relate favorably with students.
