Industrial Hygiene Analyst I - Lake Zurich IL

DESCRIPTION:

Perform analyses on samples and complex sample preparation.

Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure accuracy and quality of work.

Ensure that quality control criteria are met for all reported data

Approve data generated (Level I validation - for which the analyst has been trained and validated).

Understand and troubleshoot analyses.

Provide input to corrective action procedures.

Ensure deadlines are met

Adheres to Bureau Veritas Code of Ethics Policy.

Supports and complies with all Bureau Veritas policies Quality System and Health & Safety program.

Ensure that instruments and equipment are appropriately maintained.

Use summary reports to plan and organize work

Follow all laboratory safety rules and regulations

Keep their work area clean neat and organized

Contribute to daily and weekly planning

Other responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of a four year degree in Chemistry or Biology and zero to one year of experience in an analytical food testing laboratory.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good record keeping skills and attention to detail.

Delivers timely results and takes part in occasional project work.

Ability to accurately follow Standard operating Procedures (SOPs) and instructions.

Dynamic energetic motivated positive outlook and a can-do attitude.

Hourly Rate: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
