Job Description
New Hampshire Ball Bearings Astro Division is located in Laconia NHheart of the scenic Lakes Region. Astro is a World-Class 450 person climate-controlled advanced manufacturing facility producing high precision metal aerospace components.
Position will manage all aspects of Purchasing to efficiently and cost-effectively support organizational operations. Core responsibilities and competencies:
- Negotiating analytical and problem-solving skills
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors
- Manage risk relating to quality cost delivery and supply of purchases
- Direct continuous improvement of purchasing processes in line with changing needs and market conditions
- Develop and manage purchasing budgets and forecasts
- Monitor supplier and vendor compliance with contractual agreements
- Strong computer skills
- Knowledge with Automated Manufacturing Systems (MRP ERP)
- Self-motivated with strong sense of urgency and commitment to meeting deadlines
- International Supply Chain Management experience
- Experience in VMI
- Seven years progressive management and supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Bachelors degree required in business materials management operations management or related field. APICS-Purchasing Certification a plus
