Job Duties:
The mission of the Office of Environmental Assessment is to maintain and enhance the environment of the state in order to promote and protect the health safety and welfare of the people of Louisiana. This program provides an efficient means to develop implement and enforce regulations assess inventory monitor and analyze releases and pursue efforts to prevent and to remediate contamination of the environment. The OEA also strives to develop plans and projects to assist stakeholders via financial assistance in environmental restoration and protection actions.
Position-Specific Details:
This announcement will be used to fill multiple Geologist vacancies within the Office of Environmental Assessment. All vacancies are domiciled in Baton Rouge.
As part of a Career Progression Group vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a Geologist 1 2 or 3 depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant. Please refer to the Job Specifications tab located at the top of the LA Careers Current Job Opportunities page for specific information on salary ranges minimum qualification requirements and job concepts for each level.
There is a Special Entrance Rate (SER) for this position as follows:
Geologist 1- $22.57 per hour or $1805.60 biweekly
Geologist2- $25.84 per hour or $2067.20 biweekly
Geologist3- $29.59 per hour or $2367.20 biweekly
