Position Summary:
The QMS Internal Auditor is responsible for planning executing and reporting internal audits to ensure compliance with the organizations Quality Management System and applicable standards such as ISO 9001 or IATF 16949. The auditor will evaluate the effectiveness of processes identify risks and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

The QMS Internal Auditor is responsible for planning executing and reporting internal audits to ensure compliance with the organizations Quality Management System and applicable standards such as ISO 9001 or IATF 16949. The auditor will evaluate the effectiveness of processes identify risks and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Job Profile:
- Plan schedule and conduct internal quality audits in accordance with the audit plan and relevant standards (e.g. ISO 9001 IATF 16949 etc.).
- Review and evaluate process controls procedures documentation and records to assess compliance and effectiveness.
- Identify and document non-conformities risks and areas for improvement.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to management.
- Follow up on corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely closure and effectiveness.
- Assess effectiveness of CAPAs during follow-up audits.
- Assist in maintaining QMS documentation including procedures work instructions and quality records.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing QMS procedures.
- Support periodic review and updates of QMS documentation.
- Support external audits (e.g. customer regulatory certification body) as required.
- Ensure internal audit results are aligned with external audit expectations.
- Minimize audit observations through robust internal audit practices.
- Collaborate with process owners during audits to promote a culture of quality.
- Provide training and guidance to internal departments on QMS compliance and audit readiness.
- Continuously monitor industry best practices and regulatory requirements to ensure ongoing compliance and improvement.

Quality Metrics:
Internal Audit Planning & Execution
- Develop and maintain an annual internal audit schedule.
- Ensure timely execution of internal audits across all departments and processes.
- Achieve 100% completion of planned audits.
- Maintain zero findings during third-party or external audits due to internal audit gaps.
- Ensure all audit non-conformities have effective corrective actions implemented within defined timelines.
- Monitor closure rates of audit findings (target: >95% closed within 30 days).
- Conduct awareness or training sessions on QMS requirements and audit findings.
- At least 1 training session for each department during the year.
SPECIFIC AND REQUIRED SKILLS RELATED TO THE POSITION
Technical Skills & Process Know-how
- Strong understanding of ISO standards and QMS principles.
- In depth knowledge of PDCA cycle.
- Knowledge of 8 quality management principles.
- Knowledge of auditing techniques & report writing (Preferred: ISO 19011 certification)
- Knowledge of problem resolving methods & analysis methods: 5W1H Why- Why analysis etc.
- Analytical Skills:Analysing data identifying trends and drawing conclusions.
- Attention to Detail:Meticulous attention to detail to ensure improvement-oriented audit findings.
- Computer knowledge: word excel power point
- Effective communication skills (verbal & written)
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective time management
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple audits/projects
- Being able to deal with pressure and responsibilities
- Open-minded and flexible
- Must be able to work in both office and production environments
Experience : Minimum 5-8 years in performing internal audits for QMS ISO 9001:2015 or IATF 16949:2016 and obtaining successful qualification in external audits related to certification/ surveillance.
