Join our urban planning team and actively contribute to Lemays transdisciplinary approach across a diversity of projects carried out primarily in Quebec but also in the rest of Canada and internationally.
What you will accomplish with us:
- Conduct various studies and analyses of urban regional and transportation issues;
- Perform regulatory analyses of sites and project insertion contexts in collaboration with other involved disciplines for example architecture landscape architecture branding and communications sustainable development structural engineering;
- Undertake various environmental characterization studies;
- Develop argumentative dossiers for projects under the studios responsibility;
- Draft service offers reports studies analysis documents guides PPU PIIA and other regulatory or urban planning tools;
- Participate in the visual design development and planning of urban development projects and road public transit and active transportation projects;
- Create in collaboration with the graphics and modelling studio various graphic documents (maps figures etc.) and presentations to facilitate the understanding of files;
- Handle as needed necessary follow-ups and presentations (public consultations and others) with municipal authorities to support project implementation in accordance with Lemays Public Participation Charter;
- Carry out technical administrative and financial follow-ups of projects according to procedures and tools implemented by Lemay.
Qualifications :
- University degree in Urban Planning;
- Member in good standing of the Ordre des urbanistes du Qubec or eligible for membership;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in urban and regulatory planning;
- Strong knowledge of Quebecs planning and regulatory framework under the Act respecting land use planning and development (RSQ c. A-19.1);
- Proficiency in GIS mapping software (ArcGIS QGIS etc.) an asset;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite (InDesign and Illustrator);
- Knowledge of AI-assisted modelling tools an asset;
- Good stress management and ability to handle multiple files simultaneously;
- Autonomy and proactivity in finding solutions;
- Ease of communication with various stakeholders;
- French proficiency required; English an asset.
