ABOUT THE JOB DETAILS:
This exciting and engaging work provides advanced technical services involving the analysis design development and implementation of complex application systems. Responsibilities include researching and analyzing business needs formulating and defining application scope and objectives and designing interfaces to connect and integrate systems capable of fully meeting business needs and objectives.
To complete this exciting work you must be competent at the highest level in all phases of applications systems analysis and design activities. The selected candidate will work with both our customers and OIT to ensure business needs are met upholding quality standards. You may help evaluate and determine OIT policy adherence. You will need a solid understanding of system design plans including detailed specifications and will help facilitate implementation of application systems. Interpersonal communications and teambuilding skills are critical in this role.
WHATS IN IT FOR YOU
You will have an opportunity to work with a dedicated and diverse Agile team including programmers testers business product owners and architects to identify and propose solutions to complex business problems. You will also have an opportunity to mentor team members in Systems Analysis and problem-solving.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
You will perform analysis and documentation of business and system interactions. You will design technical solutions to business issues and work with the Application Development team to implement those solutions. You will be involved in all phases of the SDLC including Requirements Definition and Documentation Systems Analysis and Design System Integration User Acceptance Testing and Deployment Coordination. You will also be required to facilitate processes for the team and vendors to ensure they are meeting MaineIT policy and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate good working experience in web applications and other current technologies as well as data design/analysis and data mining.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A four (4) year combination ofhigher levelprogramming and or systems analysis and design an accredited educational institution in Computer Science may be substituted for two (2) years of programming experience.
The selected candidate will be required to pass the required background checks(fingerprinting may be required) as a condition of employment.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or STEM OPT extensions.
