Researches and performs financial economic and cost benefit analysis to support the Asset Management Program Performs engineering economics assessments of alternatives for business cases provides recommendations on best alternatives and documents business cases based on analyses performed. Evaluates the introduction of a new operations or maintenance strategy or other types of financial or economic assessment needed to support the implementation of the project validation process and asset management program Reviews business case economic analyses performed by consultants Maintains and enhances business case tools Responsible for project prioritization which includes projects in the Capital Improvements Program ( CIP ) and Engineering Support Program ( ESP ). implements improvements on prioritization as needed Leads and/or supports the asset strategy managers and other staff by helping to design empirical analysis required for engineering and operational economics Gathers data to support economic modeling program evaluation and cost benefit analysis; configures analytic models such as cost benefit and business risk reduction models to assign and update equivalent monetary values to benefits and risks Performs data analysis of asset attribute data to optimize data driven decisions Synthesizes financial information from capital projects into clear actionable plans Tracks trends in cost structures identifies opportunities to control expenses and assesses the financial impact of capital projects Assists in updating enterprise asset management plans
