What this job involves: JLL is seeking an experienced Operating Engineer to maintain the operational excellence of our facilities. This hands-on position requires technical expertise problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset to ensure our warehouses distribution centers and office buildings function seamlessly for tenants and visitors.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Identify and resolve general maintenance issues across building systems
- Maintain lighting systems including replacement of bulbs and ballasts
- Collaborate with the maintenance team on building equipment repair and upkeep
- Perform interior maintenance including picture hanging keyboard tray installation and office furniture repair
- Execute minor plumbing repairs and troubleshooting
- Complete specialized tasks including painting locksmith work and tenant service requests
- Relocate office furniture machinery and equipment as needed
- Conduct facility inspections and due diligence reporting on conditions affecting client operations
- Respond to emergencies 24/7 with appropriate urgency and expertise
- Maintain safety standards and good housekeeping practices while identifying and addressing potential hazards
Work Schedule
- Monday - Friday; 7 AM to 3:30 PM
- May require occasional overtime or off-hours work
Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:
- Prior experience in commercial building maintenance
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and controls
- Familiarity with building automation systems
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs
- Certifications in relevant technical fields
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5 years of experience in general building maintenance basic plumbing and basic electrical systems
- Proficiency with computers and ability to learn Corrigo CMMS software
- Physical capability to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders up to 28 ft
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Creative problem-solving abilities to address diverse building maintenance challenges

Estimated total compensation for this position:
72000..00 USD per year
