Job Description
The Maersk Contract Logistics Platforms (MCL) warehouse ecosystem is at the forefront of developing cutting edge technologies to improve the customers experience with personalized and automated end-to-end digital journeys that enable Maersk customers to access standardized products and services seamlessly. The ideal candidate will have a combination of strong technical product management knowledge and previous experience implementing technology in warehouse operations. This person is someone who enjoys solving complex business problems by building technical solutions and working with cross-functional teams (particularly development teams) to get them delivered. If you like end to end product ownership and delivering high customer value this is a role for you.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and prioritize customer integrations (EDI/API) pipeline.
Working with both Warehouse management team and Integration platform to create standard EDI/API products.
Collaborate with other platforms for App-to-App integration.
Track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a high growth fast paced environment.
Author documents relating to product life cycle including product roadmap business requirements and functional specifications.
Drive product development across teams (such as Engineering Operations ) within the integrations product suite through business requirements design implementation and continuous improvement.
Research and recommend innovative technology solutions managing and maintaining product releases and documentation.
Work collaboratively with Engineering as an advocate for the needs of our customers and operations.
Work with the business in understanding reporting and visibility requirements and derive and build up the solutions.
To participate in provide product and platform training solution proposals and presentation.
Basic Qualifications
At least 3 - 5 years working experience with reporting and visibility background. Experience in the logistics industry is a distinct advantage.
Knowledge of integration patterns and technologies inclusive of Edi standards such as EDIFACT/ANSI etc.
B.S. in Computer Science or Logistics or related field
Basic knowledge of cross application integration such as security authentication APIs.
Verbal and written communication skills (business proficiency in English.
Ability to work independently prioritize effectively and deliver in a fast-paced goal-oriented environment.
Ability to identify and solve complex ambiguous problems.
Builds strong relationships quickly with technical as well as business stakeholders.
Fast learner with initiative on personal growth and development.
Preferred qualifications
Knowledge of technologies that support warehousing processes (e.g. WMS).
Experience with Scrum and/or other agile development methodologies is a must.
Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
Product Management is responsible for the strategic planning marketing and overall management of a product throughout its lifecycle. Product management involves activities such as market research defining product vision and strategy gathering user requirements creating a product roadmap coordinating cross-functional teams managing product launches and analyzing product performance. Product management involves working with various teams such as engineering design marketing and sales to ensure the successful development launch and ongoing management of the product. Product managers are responsible for guiding and coordinating these teams.
Professional stream includes those who are individual contributors with main emphasis on applying technical/discipline knowledge rather than managing people to achieve results although coaching/mentoring less experienced staff informal supervisory responsibilities or overseeing work of other lower level professionals or manage processes and program are common.
Individual work ranges from setting objectives and delivering on own work responsibilities to being a leading expert within a given field and influencing long term tactical decisions of the organization.
Progression within this stream reflects increasing depth of professional knowledge project management capability and the ability to influence others.
A colleague at this level works independently within defined boundaries and guidelines in a specific area but will need supervision and support on more complex tasks. Knowledge is required for the application of practical methods and techniques work procedures and processes.
Solutioning is through a choice between known alternatives within the area of expertise and the leader will evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of the solution.
The job requires previous work experience in a related area or practical knowledge obtained via advanced education.
Leaders at this level manage employees day-to-day and set priorities to ensure task completion.
