Salary range: competitive
Full time/part time: Full-Time 37.50 hours per week

The general x-ray service is operational 365 days a year including weekends. The core radiology service hours are from Monday to Friday 8am 8pm with opportunities to cover additional shifts and activity on weekends.
Youll help us make health happen by:
Youll provide high quality effective Imaging services within adult and paediatric general X-Ray Mobile/theatre work and the fluoroscopy department.
Youll work closely with senior radiographers Radiologists and staff of all grades in the provision of safe prompt and effective imaging of in-patients and out-patients observing local and national guidelines; always in accordance with the ionising radiations (medical exposure) regulations IR(ME)R 2017.
Duties to include:
To perform high quality examinations in accordance with local rules and abiding by the ALARP principle
To participate in supporting clinical workload including theatre imaging general x-ray and fluoroscopy
To liaise with portering staff to ensure that the patients are transported safely and appropriately to and from the Imaging department
To maintain accurate and concise records of all imaging received by the patient and track x-rays effectively and efficiently using RIS and PACS systems
To ensure patients have been billed appropriately for the imaging examinations performed
To use and promote correct manual handling techniques to all staff in work area
To be responsible for the safe use of radiation ensuring appropriate use of PPE in accordance with local rules
To support the general and theatre lead radiographer equipment QA and maintenance of equipment within the department
To ensure that all equipment problems and operational difficulties are reported immediately to the lead radiographer or superintendent without delay.
To participate in the departmental audit schedule
To promote best clinical practice ensuring that professional standards are maintained.
To work within the local and national regulations and guidelines concerning ionising radiation and health and safety.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
BSc or relevant qualification in Radiography (essential)
HCPC Registration (essential)
Membership of appropriate professional body and/ or clinical interest group
Broad general radiography experience at student or junior level ( essential)
