Job Description

Are you excited about shaping the future of smart home security devices and services Blink (Amazon Devices) is seeking a Principal Product Manager (Level 7) to lead business strategy and product opportunity definition across our device portfolio with future scope expansion across both Ring and Blink. This is a high-visibility high-impact individual contributor role that will own Blinks portfolio planning and strategy drive new product introduction (NPI) initiatives and ensure cross-functional execution from concept through go-to-market. The Head of Strategy is responsible for identifying and driving customer-driven lifetime value (LTV) growth strategies into Blinks product roadmap and holistic portfolio working closely with Business Product Engineering Operations and Finance teams to deliver innovative products that delight customers and drive business growth.

In this role you will oversee the end-to-end product execution and identify opportunities holistically. This includes evaluating the business justification and requirements (BRDs PRFAQs) for new devices to orchestrating component updates and cost efficiencies on existing products through to go-to-market readiness and launch. You will be a strategic counterpart to Blinks Category Product Management Subscriptions Operations and Finance leads ensuring that product definitions meet customer/business needs and that operational plans (supply packaging fulfillment retail) are aligned for launch. This Boston-based role will require periodic travel to work with global stakeholders and is directly reportable to the Blink Business leader (Chris Liguori) providing visibility and influence at the highest levels of the Devices organization.

The ideal candidate has a strong track record of strategic ownership and business leadership combined with enough technical acumen to engage in product discussions and trade-offs. You are equally comfortable diving deep into data to derive insights as you are communicating big-picture vision to executives. You excel at influencing without authority rallying cross-functional teams around a common goal and translating between business and technical domains to drive results. Key job responsibilities
Product Strategy Leadership: Define and drive lifetime value strategies into Blinks multi-year product portfolio strategy and roadmap serving as the single-threaded owner for portfolio valuation and holistic opportunity definition of new programs in partnership with Category and Product teams. Identify new strategic opportunities (from concept ideation to PRFAQ) and long-term bets across Blink and Ring to ensure a continually innovative customer-focused product lineup that meets our business objectives. This role will oversee holistic NPI business strategy for Blink responsible for new product commercial success and financial commitments.

Product Transitions & Cost Optimization: Lead critical product transition and component efficiency initiatives that improve product performance and profitability. Ensure that such product refresh projects deliver enhanced customer value (e.g. new features improved specs) alongside cost savings and operational efficiency.

Business Requirements & Product Development: Own the holistic integration of all business requirement documents (BRDs) into a portfolio-wide business review. Drive the creation of new and existing Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and PRFAQs with your partners translating high-level business goals into detailed product requirements and user stories. Work cross-functionally through product development milestones to ensure the vision remains aligned with business goals. Act as the business voice during product development making high-judgment trade-off calls on feature prioritization timelines and investments to maximize customer value and business outcomes.
Go-to-Market Coordination: Ensure go-to-market (GTM) alignment for all Blink product launches. Coordinate with Packaging Supply Chain Marketing Sales/Channel and Operations teams to ensure the launch is aligned with the products value proposition and revenue targets. Join launch mechanisms and processes (GTM plans checklists KPIs) to ensure flawless execution on Day 1 and guide post-launch analysis to inform future improvements.

Cross-Functional Leadership: Represent the Blink business team in key business product technical and financial forums as a strategic counterpart to Product Management Engineering Operations and Finance leaders. You will regularly participate in technical design reviews and engineering stand-ups providing input on behalf of the customer and business (e.g. validating technical readiness against business requirements). Similarly you will engage in financial planning and demand planning discussions to ensure product plans align with P&L goals. In all interactions you will influence decisions by articulating the business rationale and customer benefits ensuring cross-functional alignment throughout the product lifecycle.

Strategic Growth & Goal Alignment: Support and influence Blinks holistic organizational goals related to revenue growth customer acquisition lifetime value (LTV) and operational efficiency. Use data-driven insights and market/competitive analysis to inform both annual operating plans (OP1/OP2) and longer-term three-year strategy (3YF). Monitor business performance (sales subscriptions engagement metrics) and work with Blink leadership to adjust strategies or tactics as needed to hit targets. This role is expected to take a long-term view of the business ensuring that near-term executions ladder up to sustainable growth and profitability for Blink and Amazon Devices as a whole.

- 12 years of product or program management product marketing business development or technology experience
- 6 years of team management experience
- Bachelors degree
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

- Experience engaging and influencing senior executives
