M te tnga About the role
You will assist with the collection of a wide range of environmental data including river levels and flows surface water quality and meteorological information by maintaining our network of automated monitoring sites and undertaking physical surveys and measurements. You will have the capacity to use a wide range of skills to undertake site operation and maintenance troubleshoot issues with sensitive monitoring and communication equipment and quality assure the data you collect using specialist software.
This role sits within the Science & Technology team and you will receive support from the Environmental Data Team Leader and the wider Environment Quality department.

This role requires a varied skillset. You will need to be a practical problem solver as comfortable around a toolbox as you are a computer exceptional attention to detail and strong computer literacy.

While a tertiary qualification in a relevant scientific/engineering field is desirable those with practical experience in electronics/instrumentation or a trade qualification are more than welcome to apply. Willingness to learn and upskill is key to success in this role.

The starting remuneration range for this role is $75668 - $89021 per annum (including KiwiSaver).
