Job Description

We are seeking a Lead Product Manager to join our Publishing Product team and lead the implementation of the product strategy and roadmap for The Australian Financial Review (AFR) across B2C and B2B channels.

You will work closely with the Head of Audience Product and Director of Product to define the strategy and ensure prioritised initiatives align with business objectives.

As a leader you will manage coach and mentor two product managers while fostering collaboration across teams to deliver innovative digital products that drive subscription revenue growth and enhance user experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy and Execution:

  • Define and drive the AFR product vision and strategy across web mobile app and other distribution channels.

  • Collaborate with engineering managers designers and stakeholders to deliver successful products.

  • Analyse data user research and market trends to identify opportunities.

  • Own roadmap development prioritisation and product lifecycle phases.

  • Monitor performance and iterate for continuous improvement.


Qualifications :

What youll bring:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Computer Science or related field.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in product management including leading other product managers.

  • Proven track record of delivering digital products in an Agile environment.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to inform decisions.

  • Experience with design thinking and best practices in digital product development.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Growth mindset and willingness to learn new approaches.
