The Senior Data Engineer is a key member of our Data Engineering team within Data & Analytics organization staying at the forefront of automating business processes through digitalization and playing a pivotal role in our strategic initiative to enhance data-driven decision-making and enabling AI across the company.
You will be a part of the Data and Analytics team and report to the Senior Manager Data Engineering as part of Platform team. If you are the forefront of new technologies and eager professional who thrives in a fast-paced role and wants to work to build a world-class data products / platform read on.
What you will do:
- Design build and maintain scalable and reliable AWS & Snowflake based data platform
- Develop and maintain infrastructure for data pipelines for ingestion transformation and storage of large datasets
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools via Terraform.
- Implement and maintain data security and governance policies.
- Collaborate with data scientists analysts and engineers to understand their data platform needs and provide solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data platform issues ensuring timely resolution.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest data platform technologies and best practices.
- Contribute to the development of data platform documentation and standards.
Who you are:
- Proficiency in Python Terraform Linux/Windows scripting and knowledge of SQL (especially Snowflake)
- Good knowledge of AWS technologies used in Data Processing
- Experience with Kubernetes Docker GIT AWS ECS and AWS Lambda
- Knowledge of scheduling/orchestration tools like airflow
- Knowledge of data engineering principles including data processing loading and orchestrating data manipulation jobs
- Understanding of modern CI/CD processes leveraging GitHub and TeamCity
- Excellent communication collaboration and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Experience with building bespoke tools and libraries.
- Experience with test orchestration and unit testing for data platform solutions
- Experience in creating products within BI Machine Learning Models or other related functions.
- Worked on different cloud platform like Azure o GCP
